My aim is to make your life easier and to ensure a smooth work flow.

Work is quoted in advance. Any additional costs are notified or a budget agreed in advance. Contact reports are sent following meetings, or at appropriate stages.

In return, I ask that someone is designated as a contact, with full authority to approve the work in progress. I ask that materials are provided and stages signed off in accordance with an agreed schedule.

In general, I try to work in partnership with my clients in an open fashion and so avoid areas of potential conflict.

Stages of a typical project

Initial meeting with a client. Not charged.
Site visit and discussion with as many of those involved as possible, followed by feasibility report and spec. This work is charged. The quote is derived from this report and spec.
Development and testing
Installation, on site testing and bug fixing.

50% of the fee is payable in advance, before work commences. The remainder is due on completion. Payment terms are 7 days.

I encourage clients to commit to a support contract. Reasonable phone support is provided free of charge.
