In conjunction with Commodore Yachting, we are organising a couple of 7 day courses/cruises to the Channel Islands. These are challenging waters in which to sail, and will guarantee that you return with a much greater appreciation of tides and pilotage. The dates are: Friday 8 June at 7pm to Friday 15 June at 3pm Friday 6 July at 7pm to Friday 13 July at 3pm And the cost will be £675pp, all-inclusive.
In 2007 this will take place on Saturday 23 June, and we are intending to enter the Bavaria 38’s. The vast majority of the 1700 or so boats in the race are like ours; they are cruising yachts, not race boats. So it will still be a competitive event, as well as being real fun. The options will be to join the boat on the Thursday evening for a day’s training on the Friday, then the weekend itself. Or to join the boat on the Friday for a two day weekend. The cost of this will be £280pp for the weekend, or £380pp for the three days. This includes boat and skipper, race entry fees, race insurance, breakfasts and lunches, mooring fees and oilskins.
We have entered boats into this cross-channel regatta for the last 7 years, and are hoping to do so again in 2007. It takes place on Friday 25 May, and is from Brighton to Fecamp. To coincide with this, we shall be arranging a 7 day course/cruise from 7pm on Monday 21 May to 3pm on Monday 28 May. It will involve sailing and training in the Solent, a coastal trip to Brighton marina, the race itself and a cross-channel trip back to the Solent. The cost will be £645pp including boat and skipper, race entry fees, race insurance; and is all-inclusive.
