Code-J was set up as a trading name by Jul Carson in 2000. His projects to date have ranged from systems to handle studio management, through brochure request handling, farms management to the collation of horse racing data.

Prior to this, he worked as a partner in a design agency trading under the name Vivid Corporation. Vivid Corporation concentrated on the design and production of high impact, high quality graphical material for mainly city clients such as Howe Robinson (Baltic Exchange Company) and Sheppard Moscow (Management Training Company).

His further history includes a ten year career as a graphic designer, working for a variety of corporates including Monarch Airlines, for whom he designed amongst other items, in-flight brochures and duty-free price lists for several years.

Whilst working as a designer, he was also engaged by a number of companies as a specialist trainer in programmes such as Adobe Photoshop and QuarkXPress.

In the 1980's, having left university with an Honours Degree in Experimental Psychology, with others he founded and ran one of the most successful UK microcomputer games companies in the 1980’s, Salamander Software.
